"The Waking of the Spring" is an uplifting seasonal celtic-folk song so you can feel blooming the entire year. It talks about the life renewing during the Spring awakening.
It was one of the first songs I composed for harp as main instrument since I was endorsed by Rees Harps. and We have performed this song live in our acoustic concerts since early 2011, but though it was entitled "The waking of the Spring" since the beginning due to its celtic/uplifting air, It was early 2013 I wrote the definitive lyrics and words for it. This theme differs from our usual sound because It has more folk elements and it is happier, lighter and more colourful. In brief, It is more "the fairy" than "the ghost" here :). By purchasing this single, and/or spreading the word about it, you will be supporting our forthcoming physical releases, but meanwhile you can purchase it in digital format. lyrics
Melting icicles tearing sheer droplets
giving birth to glittering sprites
that rejoice and splash at the fountain
dazzling under the light
Graceful they sing in the newborn stream
gurgle and dance at the waking of the spring
A blooming warmth is filling the air
with tantalizing scents
and flourish now in the curve of your smile
of delicious lips so red
A promise of life
as birds unfold their wings
runs in our blood at the waking of the spring
Maidens wearing floral garlands
with a blush so healthy glowing on their cheeks
and barefoot as they gather
like nymphs playing by the creeks
Cover field with flawless beauty
Crown the tree with a lush and glorious green
The sounds that winter muted
now burst alive and sing
for the waking of the spring
la, la, la... la, la, io...
And craving for sun
our life and love renew
la, la, la... la, la, io...
and craving for sun
our life and love renew
